The soon-to-open Fremont Brewing Company was featured on KUOW 94.9 last week. The program was on green businesses and featured a conversation with owner/brewer Matt Lincecum. You can stream the program from their website. According to the FBC newsletter, Matt’s piece starts about 22 minutes and 30 seconds into the show.
Check out my Seattle column in the next issue of the Northwest Brewing News (should hit pubs/stores around June 1) for a preview of Fremont Brewing Company. In the meantime, you can learn more about them from their blog. They are taking some serious steps to make them one of the most environmentally aware and sustainable breweries around. This production brewery was planning to do a test batch on their system this past weekend, and they’re hoping to start distributing kegs in a couple of weeks. Look for their 2 core beers, Universal Pale Ale & Interurban India Pale Ale, at the upcoming Washington Brewers Festival.
