There are many, many people around town that have been anxiously waiting for the day Maritime re-opens their Jolly Roger Taproom. That day will finally be here this upcoming Saturday. Attached are a few pictures from the new space (thanks to Maritime Account Manager Geoff Sampson). Here is the announcement from WABL:

Maritime Pacific Brewing Company
Jolly Roger Taproom Grand Opening
Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Maritime Pacific Brewing Company is proud to announce the grand re-opening of its Jolly Roger Taproom at its new location, 1111 NW Ballard Way, this coming Saturday, the 20th of February, starting at 4 PM until 10:00. Beer specials and a new dinner menu plus all your old favorites will be available.

Maritime Pacific would also like to extend an invitation to current WABL members to attend a pre-opening event especially for them, starting at 3 PM on Saturday the 20th. A special cask-conditioned beer will be served along with tours of our new brewery.

This is just one more reason that you should be a WABL member…this place is going to be swamped on Saturday, I would imagine, and getting in an hour early makes life much easier for WABL members.

The old Jolly Roger was much loved by locals for the great Maritime beer, amazingly good food (onion rings and Po’ Lil’ Oysters here I come!), and a relaxed atmosphere. The original tap room was opened in 1997 and it was full of character, but they outgrew the limited space there long ago. It was usually so busy during peak times that it was quite the affair to try and visit on a Friday/Saturday night.

Cheers to George Hancock and the rest of the Maritime staff for making the transition, and I hope to see you all there to celebrate on Saturday!
