Hop Pursuit
Alcohol by Volume: 6.0%
Intro: Hop Pursuit is a new release in Full Sail’s Brewmaster’s Reserve series, which is a rotating selection of special release beers. This “Extra Pale Ale” is brewed with Willamette, Cascade, and Mt. Hood hops.
Description: Pours a light copper with medium head. Moderate citrus hop aroma. Taste starts with a bit of citrus and floral hops, but bready/biscuity malts come on strong quickly after. A moderate bitterness finishes things off and really keeps going, but it never gets too intense. Lightly sweet and drinks very light; even lighter than the 6% ABV. It’s a nice pale ale that gets more bitterness than flavor from the hops, but it has more than enough malts going on to keep it drinkable. This would actually make for a really nice six-pack beer, but it doesn’t stick out much as far as a special release. If you see it though, it’s worth giving it a shot.
Verdict: Worth Trying
Availability: Widely available in 22oz bottles and draft from mid-March to June.
