Today marks a momentous occasion in the life of my fiance, Jeanne McCarthy. She’s crossing over to join the rest of us that are 30+ years old. Jeanne, I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
Anyone that knows Jeanne well knows that she loves to celebrate her birthday (celebrations tend to last a full week). I’d like to make this year the best one yet. After a nice home-cooked meal last night and some good wine and beer, we’re off to a good start.
If anyone has advice for Jeanne as she crosses the threshold into her thirties, I’m sure she’d appreciate any sage advice in addition to well-wishes.
Happy birthday, Jeanne!

As someone who has been married to a beer-loving woman named Jeanne for over 24 years, I say “Well done!”
Forgot to give some sage advice: Keep things in perspective; for example, beer is more important than age.
Welcome to your 30s, Jeanne! Nice of you to finally join us. It’s a lot like being in your 20s except you don’t do as much stupid stuff (not sure if that’s good or bad).
Thirty plus, indeed. I’m thirty twelve.
HBD Jeanne!!!!!
I’ll tip one to Jeanne this weekend while in Puddletown. Maybe with an Upright Gose or Cascade Kriek.
Let’s have a 10-day birthday week celebration in honor of Jeanne …can’t stop after Seattle Beer Week!
+1 to what Gibson said. I’m having way more fun in my 30s than I did in my 20s.
