Washington Breweries Bring Home Medals From Great American Beer Festival in Denver

Washington breweries took home seven medals from this past weekend’s Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. 3,523 beers from 516 breweries in 48 states competed for one of 237 possible medals in 79 different style categories. 151 judges from 10 countries evaluated the entries last week and narrowed down the winners for each category. Congrats to the following winners from Washington:

Chuckanut Brewery Vienna Lager – Gold Medal in Vienna-style Lager (35 entries)
Chuckanut Brewery Pilsner – Bronze Medal in German-style Pilsener category (48 entries)
Ram Tacoma Total Disorder Porter – Gold Medal in Brown Porter category (33 entries)
Hale’s Ales Kolsch – Gold Medal in Kellerbier/Zwickelbier category (24 entries)
Elysian Brewing Company Dark O’ the Moon – Silver Medal in Field Beer category (28 entries)
Pyramid Breweries Apricot Ale – Silver Medal in Fruit Beer category (75 entries)
Boundary Bay Brewery Imperial Oatmeal Stout – Bronze Medal in Other Strong Beer category (48 entries)

    My ex lived in seattle and we went to tons of microbrew places on the weekends. They deserve this award. Just my 2 cents.
