With so many great events there is no way I can highlight them all. But, I’ll be posting every day during Seattle Beer Week and picking out two or three exciting events for the current day, as well as a couple for the following day.
Picks for Friday, May 20
Chuckanut Brewers Night at Schulzy’s – German style lagers from Chuckanut to go along with some great sausages should make for a perfect evening. Shultzy’s Sausage in the U District will host Will Kemper, Kevin Davey, and Bryan Cardwell, the Chuckanut Brew Team, at their brewers night starting at 7pm. They will make 5 different sausages to go with 5 different German style Chuckanut Brewery Beers including Dunkel Lager, Vienna Lager, Pilsner, Alt, and Kolsch. They may even get some Marzen involved!
Locals Only at Cooper’s Alehouse – In honor of Seattle Beer Week, all 23 of Cooper’s taps will be pouring beer from Seattle breweries. If you don’t make it up to this classic alehouse on Lake City Way very often, this is a great chance to check it out. They’ll be pouring Seattle beers throughout the week.
Treasures of the Deep: Tasting With Fish Brewing at Full Throttle Bottles – This definitely is not your typical tasting. They’ll be breaking out some seriously rare beers. While they won’t give away the whole lineup, expect treats like Barrel-Aged Poseidon’s Imperial Stout and more. 5pm to 7pm
A Look Ahead: Saturday, May 21
Stone Brewing Company Dinner at Elemental – This restaurant near Gasworks is well-known for pairing wine with food. Come see what they can do with beer. $75 (all inclusive) for 5 courses with beer.
Kegs & Eggs With American Brewing at Brave Horse Tavern – Great opportunity to check out one of Seattle’s newest beer spots in tandem with one of the region’s newest breweries.
