Big Al Brewing Visiting Conor Byrne for a Brewers Night

Looking for a reason to go drink on a Monday night? Big Al Brewing will be visiting Conor Byrne in Ballard for a Brewers Night starting at 6pm this evening. If you have not had the pleasure of trying the Big Al Old #1 Barleywine yet, they will be bringing a keg. Old #1 is one my favorite barleywines that I’ve sampled this year, and this might be one of your last chances to try it for a while. They will also be bringing their Hop Villain Black IPA and the always popular Brougham Bitter.

If the beer isn’t enough of a reason for you, there will also be live bluegrass starting at 7pm, as well as free hot dogs.

Here is more info on the seasonal Hop Villain Black IPA:

The newest member of the Big Al family, Hop Villain is a bit of a mystery. “Is he a bitter and hoppy IPA?” “Is he a toasty and chocolatey Porter?” Who knows,we don’t, and he’s not telling. What we do know is that Hop Villain combines the solid hop character of the one and the rich malt flavor of the other. Call him a Black IPA, a Cascadian Dark Ale, or an India Dark Ale if you must, the Hop Villain doesn’t care. You bring the labels, he’ll bring the flavor!
