It is safe to say that Portland’s Cascade Brewing is one of the most well-respected breweries in the country, not just in the NW. The brewery was established in 1998 by owner Art Larrance, who also co-founded one of the state’s first breweries, Portland Brewing, as well as the long-running Oregon Brewers Festival. Brewmaster Ron Gansberg, brewer Curtis Bain and the rest of the team continue to set themselves apart with the outstanding “Northwest Sour-Style” beers that they produce. If you haven’t been to their shrine dedicated to sour beer in Portland, the Cascade Barrel House, it is a definite must-hit on your next trip to PDX (if you like sour beers, that is). Aside from their lineup of sour beers, the brewery produces a wide array of styles that they pour at both the brewery and barrel house.
Urban Family Public House will be featuring the beers of Cascade Brewing tomorrow night. They’ll be pouring 12 beers overall, including 3 sours on draft and 2 bottled sours. The sours include The Vine, Barrel Aged Bruin, Summer Gose, Sang Noir, and Apricot. They will also have a few IPAs, a saison, a stout, and a few one-off German styles to round out the lineup.
The fun starts at 4pm, and they will also have some great food to pair with the beers. Whether you are new to Cascade or they are one of your favorites, this should make for an outstanding Friday evening.

Has anyone else noticed that urban family public house is a big rip off? They serve small glasses of beer that are overpriced and on top of it the charge sales tax on top of the rip off prices.
I wish cascade would send their beers somewhere else. I predict UFPH will be selling 8oz beers for at least $10+ tax.
WARNING MAJOR RIPOFF ALERT!!!!
^excellent trolling (i hope?)
I’ll be there, and I’m bringing the “family.”
