While Russian River Brewing’s famous Pliny the Younger Triple IPA was recently released at their brewery in CA, 3 events here in the Puget Sound area will be serving up locally-brewed triple IPAs that aim to fill the void left when Russian River pulled out of the WA market just over a year ago.
According to Nat Pellman of Brouwer’s Cafe, Adam Robbings from Reuben’s Brews came up with the idea and mobilized other local breweries to get involved for the event. 12 total WA breweries are on board for all 5 events, and as a bonus Big Time will be pouring their Whiny the Complainer at the events at both Brouwer’s and Naked City.
Here are details on the 5 events, with the 1st one coming up on Monday 2/17 at Brouwer’s:
Brouwer’s Cafe – 2/17 (at 6pm, or possibly 3pm)
Pike Pub – 2/20
Special Brews in Lynwood – 2/26
Pint Defiance in Tacoma – 3/5
Naked City Brewery & Taphouse – 3/13
Triple IPAs from the following 12 breweries should be pouring at all 5 events:
- Black Raven
- Naked City
- Spinnaker Bay
- Strong Arm
