It is certainly appropriate that with the Specialty Coffee Association of America holding their annual expo at the Washington State Convention Center this weekend in Seattle that at least one beer bar is taking the opportunity to showcase some coffee beers. Burgundian, the Brouwer’s/Bottleworks-related bar located up in Tangletown, will be having “Coffee Beer Fest 2.5” tomorrow, Saturday, April 26, starting at 6pm. They will have 10 coffee beers on tap (see list below), including some local ones.
If you are attending the SCAA expo and are interested in checking out this event at Burgundian, your best bet will probably be to take a cab/Uber from downtown (~$20). Or, the #16 or #26 bus will get you up that way from downtown cheaply (and slowly).
Here is the list of what will be pouring:
Elysian-Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout w/Stumptown Special Cold Brew
Evil Twin-Imperial Doughnut Break w/Charleston Coffee Roasters
Flyers-Daybreak Breakfast Stout w/Fidalgo Bay Roasting Company Daybreak Blend
Fremont-Midnight Rider Imperial Porter w/Tony’s Ganesha Espresso
Great Divide-Espresso Oaked Aged Yet- w/ Pablo’s Roasting Espresso
Laurelwood-Organic Espresso Stout w/ Portland Roasting Ethiopian & Sumatran
Local Option-Morning Wood Oaked Aged Amber w/Dark Matter’s El Salvador
Midnight Sun-Brewtality Espresso Black Ale w/ Kaladi Brothers Espresso
Peddler-Coffee Saison w/Conduit Coffee Company Guji Shakiso
Reuben’s Brews-Breakfast Stout Kuma, Kenya Gatomboya
Saturday, April *26* ?
Thanks, Don. Hopefully, people were smart enough to figure that one out for themselves.
