halesFresh Hop Season has been here for a bit now, but things are going to really start picking up steam this week. This Wednesday, Hale’s Ales will release their 2014 Fresh Hop India Session Ale, as well as O’Brien’s Harvest Ale, their long-time fall seasonal.

The release party will be taking place in the newly-remodeled Double Decker Room overlooking the brewery from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday, September 24. There will be samples of these beers, specially priced bottles of beer to-go, a spread of appetizers and live music.

More information about these two beers:

Hale‘s New Seasonal Fresh Hop Ale

We are excited to announce the upcoming release of Hale‘s new Fresh Hop Ale, due out on October 1st.  Hale‘s Fresh Hop Ale is a limited release India Session Ale, with an aromatic, citrusy hop character and a pleasantly low ABV.  Our fresh Hop Ale will be the first seasonal 22oz beer to feature our new beer labels; look for them at your favorite beer store.  Limited kegs and bottles available until December if they last that long.

O’Brien’s Harvest Ale

Hale‘s much anticipated fall seasonal will be released, in kegs and 6-packs, on September 1st.  Harvest Ale is not a fresh-hop ale.  Rather, it is designed to be ‘hop-centric’: a full-flavored, complex and rich autumn ale with plenty of hop character. This year we are excited to be featuring the new Cashmere hop, which will be added raw to the hopback.  For additional aromatics the recipe includes Mosaic, Sorachi and El Dorado hops and we’ll use rye in the malt.  Brewed every fall since 1987, O’Brien’s Harvest Ale is the NW’s original Harvest Ale.  This delicious beer will be available in kegs and bottles, from September until early November. 7% ABV.
