HAPPY NEW YEAR
In the world of beer we have a lot to look forward to this year.

We have just brewed the first Collabeeration beer with New Belgium. New Belgium Brewing is now a legal brewer in the State of WA, operating within the Elysian Capitol Hill brewery. The first version of The Trip, a Belgian-style Trippel/IPA hybrid was brewed last Thursday. A release at the end of February is scheduled for this draught-only product at fine beer retailers around the Puget Sound. It will of course be on tap at all three Elysian locations.

We have started to send some beer to the Bay Area. We hope to have full distribution by Spring from San Jose to Sacramento.

David Buhler will be pouring some special beers in the backroom of Monks.

WA Brewer Cask Fest

We plan to pour Herbert’s Legendary Cask Ale and Green Man Organic IPA, and hope to offer a cask of the Trip beer brewed with our friends at New Belgium.

Seattle Beer Week (www.seattlebeerweek.com)
May 7-16
We will have a ton of events starting with the first annual GREAT ELYSIAN BEER FESTIVAL- we will pour up to 40 Elysian-brewed beers on draught at Elysian Fields Saturday May 9th 12 noon-10PM.
Look for the details to develop, but we are planning a Collabeeration beer dinner with New Belgium Mon 5/11, Firkin Fest Tues 5/12, Capitol Hill Pub Crawl Wed 5/13, Maibock-Yourbock-Uhrbock Thurs 5/14, and finally a celebration of Seattle beers at Elysian Fields with the Red Sox in town 5/14 & 5/15.

BREWERS NIGHTS: Join us at these local fine beer bars for a night of Elysian Beer.

What’s Brewing?
We have another Woutbier brewing with the slurry of critters (son of Wout) re-pitched from the first batch, a fresh batch of Avatar Jasmine IPA, we put Bifrost in a tank with a bunch of toasted french oak staves (OakFrost), Cyclops Barleywine is in conditioning, The Sirens Ale a Belgian-style goldenAle is almost done fermenting.
