Happy Easter, everyone…
Just a few random notes:
- Check out the Washington Beer Blog’s post about month-long IPA festivals going on at Cooper’s Alehouse and Beveridge Place Pub. If you haven’t been up to Cooper’s, it is definitely worth the trip for this IPA fest. It also happens to be pretty much accross the street from the new Hudson Public House that opened a few days ago. Bar crawl, anyone?
- Lost Abbey Angel’s Share has hit shelves around town, but at about a whopping $30/750ml bottle. I was happy to get a pour of this in my $8 flight at the Collins Pub sour/barrel aged mini-fest on Friday…because $30 just might be the magical number I’m not willing to pay for a new beer release. Angel’s Share is a fantastic beer, but I think it’s only worth that price if you haven’t had it and are itching to try it. My sample definitely had some carbonation issues as well, but it was still great.
- I’ve been drinking/reviewing a few fun beers over on my Seattle P-I blog. Mmmmm….Surly.
- Things are open for business over at Black Raven Brewing in Redmond. I haven’t had a chance to make it in there, but their IPA and a Brown Ale are flowing. They also have some great guest taps from WA breweries to fill up the space. Their official “Grand Opening” isn’t until the weekend of May 1st, so things are still progressing. Their Totem Pale Ale will be coming next week.
