As I just posted the other day, Seattle Beer Week is on the way…and I’m starting to get excited. Here are some details about events at Collins Pub for the week:

seattle beer week should be fun, eh? at collins pub we are doing a bunch of stuff, including two brewers dinners with stone and ninkasi. details? sure.ninkasi saturday may 9th, 7:00pm $50/pp plus tax and gratuity
brewer jamie floyd double dry hopped a total domination IPA keg for the event and is also bringing up a keg of the special falconer strong ale, brewed in loving memory of glenn falconer, the brilliant oregon brewer. spring reign pale, otis stout, and the believer red will also be paired with chef erik woods spring menu creation, troll caught king salmon, smoked pork loin.stone dinner will be cool too. may 16th 7:00pm, $50/pp plus tax and gratuity…
dry hopped levitation keg, which will be the washington premier of that product, vanilla bean infused smoked porter, smoked pork ribs, troll salmon.other things-
May 12th – Elysian New Belgium collaboration Trip#1 and #2 and other cool stuff
May 13th – Victory happy hour meet the brewer, cool beers including wild devil, a brett IPA
May 14th – Schooner Exact IPA pours through the hop stuffed Randall, which is a brilliant hop infusing device**finally at some point that week we are going to tap a three year old firkin of the now defunct heads up brewing 9mm strong ale. stay tuned to collinspub on twitter for that taping information.

Reading the “vanilla bean smoked porter” in this post really got me thirsty for one. I grabbed the closest thing I had on hand – Rogue’s Mocha Porter. Let’s just say it didn’t satisfy the urge..
