The Whisky Bar Steps Up Their Beer Selection; Maritime Pacific Brewers Night Tonight

August 25th, 2009 · 1 Comment · General Beer News

I haven’t been in the Whisky Bar in over a year, but it sounds like they’ve decided to seriously step up their beer offerings of late. More good beer in that part of town is definitely welcome. Here’s what they’ve got going on:

We have expanded our beer list to include over 40 bottles of European and American specialty beers like, Russian River Pliny the Elder, Caracole Nosradamus and Troublette, Duchesse de Bourgogne, Brewdog Storm and Paradox, Orval, Duvel, Dogfish Head 90, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye. You get the idea. We Are also rotating our 9 taps on a regular basis bringing in special one-offs like Allagash Burnham Road as well as great classics such as Anchor Steam. As well as 200+ whiskys, scratch cocktails and a little sandwich/kebab place. We have just finished up with a complete remodel. All and all, we have decided to focus on quality beers and cocktails served by professionals…

Tuesday, August 25th, we will be hosting a Maritime Pacific Brewing Night With 5 drafts; Jolly Roger, Bosuns Black Porter (aged with whisky soaked wood), Flagship Red Alt.Imperial I.P.A. and old Seattle lager with the Jolly keg being tapped at 7pm. It should be on for more than one day.
