Looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve? This lineup at Uber looks enticing….
If you want to get started a bit early, the Cascade Blackberry Nightfall has already been tapped!
WARNING: Professionals Only!
Amateurs & rookies may not be able to handle such a floodgate of party fun & generosity. Or the alcohol for that matter. There will be alcohol in the alcohol. Yes indeed, Professionals only.
Each year Über Tavern throws a party on New Year’s Eve, tapping a few extra special kegs and popping some swanky bottles along the way to share. This will be our 4th one and since it falls on a Thursday, the bar will be open on New Year’s Day also, and our awesome beer specials will run all the weekend.
This year we were able to bootleg 6 wonderful kegs up from Oregon (legally of course) for the big weekend.
These beers are both rare & great by themselves, but we are going a step further by offering all 6 with big discounts, Thur 12/31 thru Sat 1/2. Consider this our belated Christmas present to our customers…Happy Holidays! Here’s the list of specialty draft beers with sale prices:
Cascade Blackberry Nightfall – $4 goblet
A truly amazing 8% sour beer, aged in French oak barrels for months, and flavored with tons of wild Oregon Blackberries.
This beer bursts with tart fruit and champagne-like acidity. The deep pink, almost purple head color on this beer will blow your mind.Cascade Sang Noir – $5 goblet
A 9.5% seven barrel blended aged beer of epic proportions. Some of the base beer was aged in Pinot Noir and Whiskey barrels. Other base beer was aged in neutral barrels. Fresh Bing Blood Cherries were added to a barrel and refermented for three months before being added to the main blend. This “Black Blood” masterpiece is a beer not to be missed. It’s almost more like a desert wine than it is a beer. Simply Incredible
Old Lompoc 11% Old Tavern Rat – $3 schooner
This is a very highly rated (and high octane) big, bold barleywine, meant to drink fresh. Pours dark brown with a thick, creamy, dark tan head. Big roasty, toasty, resiny, piney nose. Thick, chewy, creamy body. The nuts, toast, roast, dark malts, dark pitted tree fruits, and sharply resiny hop all work together across a dense and satisfying mid-palate. Nothing too sharp about the hops; they’re not there to age for years; they’re there to enjoy now. It’s a big and very intense PNW style barleywine that would probably age in some interesting ways, but really feels good to go right now, today. Hides the 11% incredibly well.
Old Lompoc C-Note – $3.50 pint
This 7% Imperial Pale Ale is all about hops. Using Centennial, Crystal, Cluster, Chinook, Cascade, and Columbus hops, this hophead’s dream pushes 100 IBU.
Old Lompoc LSD – $3.50 pintA 6.9% English Strong Ale, LSD Portland’s new cult beer. Big body, a touch of smoked malt, and a generous hop profile.
Old Lompoc Holiday Cheer – $3.50 pintA 7% “winter porter”. dark, but not tipped to roast, nor charcoal. Velvety to the palate, hints of vanilla from whole bean extraction during the brew.
FREE STUFF!— We will have lots of complimentary gourmet salami, cured meats, artisanal cheeses, chocolates, and other fine snacks.
See you under the bar,
