Black Raven Brewing Celebrates Their First Anniversary This Saturday

April 26th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Events, Washington Breweries

It has been quite a year for Black Raven Brewing. A couple of weeks ago, they took home three medals from the 2010 World Beer Cup in Chicago. Prior to that, they won top honors at the Washington Cask Festival and the Washington Winter Beer Festival, and their IPA toppled Boundary Bay IPA in customer voting to become the new house IPA for 2010 at Beveridge Place Pub. For a brewery that is approaching their first full year in business, it is safe to say that Black Raven is off to a good start. You have heard me gush about their Wisdom Seeker Double IPA, as well as their barrel-aged experiments. If you still haven’t had the pleasure of trying their beers, then this is your perfect chance.

Head over to Redmond and join Black Raven at their brewery for their anniversary party this Saturday, May 1, from Noon to 10pm. There will be 2 beer gardens pouring their lineup, including some rare releases that they have saved up from throughout the first year. There will be live music starting at 1pm, including Essie Blue (bluegrass/americana) from 1pm to 3pm, TBD from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, and Seattle reggae band Dub Lounge International will headline from 6pm to 9pm. Pizza and grilled food will be available. And, don’t forget the live goats…

This event is 21+ only, please.
