It’s finally here! Enough talking. Enough anticipation of good beers to come. Seattle Beer Week kicks off today with events all over town. You might want to pick up this week’s issue of Seattle Weekly, which has a very handy pullout section for SBW with events organized by day, as well an intro from yours truly. You can also find a full list of events on the SBW website, and following are just a few of today’s highlights. I wish your liver luck.
Official Kickoff at Hale’s Brewery – join the organizers and various industry folk, as well as beer lovers from all over, to kick off a week of craziness by tapping the inaugural cask of the Hale’s commemorative Seattle Beer Week Double IPA. The kickoff party will then later make stops at Shultzy’s and Naked City.
Seattle Cask-O-Rama at Beveridge Place Pub – BPP will pour a baker’s dozen of cask beers, all from local Seattle breweries. Beers will include Big Al IPA, Big Time Perspective IPA, Elliott Bay Demolition Strong Ale, Elysian Prometheus IPA, Fremont IPA w/blood orange, Georgetown Donkey Deux Belgian Dubbel, Hales Seattle Beer Week Double IPA, Maritime Pacific Imperial Dry Hopped IPA, Naked City Hoptrocity Imperial IPA, Pike Double IPA, Schooner Exact 3 Grid IPA, Three Skulls Hop the Plank IPA and Two Beers Dry Peeled Wit.
Seattle’s Newest Brewers Night at Park Pub – Park Pub will host Odin Brewing, Fremont Brewing, and Breakaway Brewing to showcase these new(ish) Seattle breweries’ beers, including two special beers made just for Seattle Beer Week.

Going to the Cask-O-Rama tonight, can’t wait. I’ve been conditioning my liver for the last few months, so this shouldn’t bother it at all 🙂
