Do $3 20oz pints of craft beer sound like a good deal to you? How about quality small bites for around $3 to $7? It might not be the first place that comes to your mind when you think of grabbing a good beer, but Urbane is worth checking out the next time you’re looking for a happy hour spot downtown. Located in the Hyatt at Olive 8, Urbane offers happy hour 7 days a week from 4pm to 6pm and again from 10pm to 12pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, the early happy hour stretches from 2:30pm to 6pm.
We stayed at the Olive 8 a couple of weekends ago the weekend of our wedding (awesome hotel, by the way), and some friends and I had the opportunity to hit the happy hour a couple of times. They had about six beers on tap, which were all local and regional offerings, including the lovely Fremont Pale Ale. There was nothing to geek out over but plenty to make you happy at just $3 for a large pint. The food was a great value as well. We sampled the bacon mac & cheese ($5), seared albocore ($5), skinny fries ($3), and a Beecher’s cheese plate ($7).
A perfect time to check out Urbane would be this Friday for their Northwest Beer & Artisanal Cheese Pairing Party, featuring beers from Full Sail Brewing. Guests can enjoy 5 beer and cheese pairings for a total of $17. The event will take place between 5pm and 9pm, and you can show up and order the pairings at any time during that window (then stick around for happy hour at 1opm!). No reservations are needed.
Here is the full pairing menu:

Gruyere & Onion Flatbread paired with Full Sale Amber
Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese paired with Sessions Black
Grilled Figs with Quillisascut Blue & Balsamic paired with Sessions Lager
