Intro: The namesake brewery of Snoqualmie Falls is a great stop when visiting the famous waterfall, located just a quick drive east on I-90 from Seattle. They have a solid selection of year-round beers available at Seattle bottle shops in 22oz bottles, but special releases are usually limited to the tap room. This Belgian-style tripel was made for their 13th anniversary, and limited amounts are available in 22oz bottles at local shops. The whimsical label art is brought to you by Sensei 23, after he won a contest for the honor to create it. His artwork may look familiar to some of you.

Description: Pours a clear golden with nice fluffy white head that hangs around. Aroma is spicy yeast mixing with a bubble gum sweetness. Taste is lightly sweet bready malts with that signature spicy Belgian yeast character dominating throughout. A little bit of citrus and melon mix in as well. There is a moderate amount of warming from the alcohol, and overall it packs a pretty good punch, but without coming across as too thick and heavy. An appropriate bitterness finishes to balance. This is one of the better Belgian-style tripels I can remember trying from a northwest brewery. Well done.

Verdict: Find at all costs
Availability: Very limited amount of 22oz bottles available at local bottle shops.

Commercial Description/Press Release:

There is no need to be afraid of the number 13, we have actually created this Belgian style tripel in celebration of our 13th anniversary.

Reminiscent of the Millennium Madness we created 10 years ago, Triskaidekaphobia is a great balance of crisp clean malt, lemony hops and spice. Unfiltered but clear to the eye, Trisky is made from 100% German pilsner malt, Belgian candi sugar, 100% Czech Saaz hops and Belgian ale yeast.

Stored away for the past 5 months, Trisky is perfect to drink now, or to pack away in your beer cellar for a special occasion in years to come. Available in December, Trisky availability is extremely limited so find some today at your finer Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company retailers.
