With so many great events there is no way I can highlight them all. But, I’ll be posting every day during Seattle Beer Week and picking out two or three exciting events for the current day, as well as a couple for the following day.
Full Event List for Saturday, May 21
Picks for Saturday, May 21
Back in Black Stout Festival at Brouwer’s Cafe – Brouwer’s knows how to throw festivals like no one else, and this event featuring stouts from all over the country/world should be epic.
World Class Brewer’s Reunion at Pike Brewing – Seattle’s Pike Brewing Company has churned out some of the best brewers in the industry. Even if you’ve never been to Pike (not sure that is possible), chances are that you’ve had a beer brewed by someone who used to work at Pike. Around 20 former and current Pike Brewing alumni will be on hand, and they’ll be bringing beers from their current breweries. Follow the link for more detailed info.
Hair of the Dog at The Dray – One of my favorite brewers and breweries visits the Dray in Ballard. Join the crew from The Dray in welcoming Alan Sprints, founder and head brewer of Hair of the Dog to The Dray. They will have kegs of Fred, Adam, Blue Dot, Doggie Claws and a special beer for Seattle Beer Week. The event will be held in the back lot of The Dray so plenty of room to get around. Dogs are welcome.
A Look Ahead: Sunday, May 22
Anderson Valley Brewers Dinner at Leary Traveler – Join Anderson Valley’s Head Brewer Fal Allen (Formerly of Pike and other Seattle Breweries) for a night of his beers with a specially paired dinner menu.
Instrument vs. the Ornithoid at Bottleworks – Hosted by David Walker of Firestone Walker Brewing. A selection of bourbon barrel aged beers on draft. Pitting Parabola up against Black Xantus (first time on draft in WA!!!) We will also be enjoying 14 draft in celebration of our encore Parabola release!!!
