Press Release:
The Washington Beer Commission will host the 2nd Annual Spokane Oktoberfest on Friday, September 23rd, and Saturday, September 24th, at downtown Spokane’s Riverfront Park. This will be the premier craft beer tasting festival for the Washington Beer Commission on the east side of the Cascades. The Commission currently produces five beer tasting festivals yearly as a means for supporting the marketing, promotion, education and public relations efforts of the Washington Beer Commission and its more than 140 member breweries statewide.
Spokane Oktoberfest will turn Riverfront Park’s Gondola Meadow into an authentic Bavarian biergarten featuring a massive, high-peak tent with picnic tables, delicious food options, traditional music and of course Washington brewed German style lagers and fall seasonal beers on tap. This second-year event will showcase 24 Washington Breweries (14 from east of the Cascades) pouring more than 50 unique craft beers.
The event will take place over two days, beginning Friday evening, September 23rd from 4pm to 9pm. Saturday, the 24th the festival will run from noon to 9pm.
Admission Price Reduction! Tickets for Friday or Saturday are just $15 in advance or $20 at the door! (tickets cost $5 more last year). Separate tickets are required for each day. Admission includes a commemorative tasting cup and five 5.5 oz. sample tastes. Additional taste tokens will be available for purchase at $1.50 each or four taste tokens for just $5.00. There will also be commemorative steins available for purchase.
Tickets are on sale now! Complete ticket and event information is available online at www.washingtonbeer.com. The event is expected to sell out so advance ticket purchase is recommended. This is a 21 and over only event. Additional information including the full beer lineup, entertainment schedule, contests, food menu items and advance ticket outlet locations coming soon.
