Seattle is lucky enough to get beer from Double Mountain Brewery, located in Hood River, Oregon, distributed to us regularly these days. They are one of my favorite Oregon breweries, and I don’t think I’ve had a brew from them that I didn’t enjoy.
Double Mountain co-owner Charlie Devereux will be on hand at the Noble Fir in Ballard this evening, and he’s bringing up a special keg of their Rainier Kriek to go along with what should end up to be six other taps of Double Mountain brews. Whether it be Hop Lava, a refreshing Kolsch, or the new Triple Nipel, you shouldn’t have a problem finding a great brew at Noble Fir tonight. Most of the beers will be on tap when they open at 4pm today, but the Kriek won’t be tapped until Charlie rolls into the bar (maybe 7?).

Damn, I wish I had time to stop in for the Rainier Kriek. Their Bing Kriek at SIB was great.
