Seattle Mariners pitcher Chris Ray recently helped create the Homefront IPA with Fremont Brewing Company, which was conditioned on actual baseball bats for three weeks. Don’t worry, the bats were unused and came directly from Louisville Slugger. Proceeds go to Operation Homefront.
I’d most definitely agree with ESPN writer Jim Caple’s comment that it is “the most productive use of Mariners bats in at least two seasons.”
You can read more about the project on ESPN, and following is a video of Chris Ray announcing his Top 10 Rejected Beer ideas for this collaboration.
