The Mountaineers is a great organization for those interested in the outdoors. Join them this Saturday for their Outdoors Fest from 10am to 5pm at Magnuson Park. While you are there, enjoy one of four kegs of beer that The Noble Fir will be on hand to pour at the event’s beer garden.

More about the event:

n the pursuit of getting people outdoors, The Mountaineers will again be bringing the outdoors to the people with its Second Annual OutdoorsFest on Saturday, September 17 at The Mountaineers Program Center in Magnuson Park.

If you are just getting acquainted with what the Pacific Northwest offers to the outdoor adventurer, if you want to find out how to enhance your outdoor experience, or you simply want to start from square one, The Mountaineers OutdoorsFest and its sponsors welcome you.

Indoor and outdoor climbing walls, seminars, a trivia fun run, beer garden, outdoor gear vendors with their latest innovations, and conservation groups will fill the Program Center from 10 am to 5 pm that Saturday in the northwest expanse of Magnuson Park along Lake Washington.

More about the beer garden, from Rick Weersing of The Noble Fir:

We will be pouring four donated kegs: Two Beers’ Trailhead ISA, Ninkasi’s Maiden The Shade IPA, Snoqualmie’s Harvest Moon Fest Bier, and Firestone Walker’s Nectar Red. All beers are $5 ( cash only ) for a 16oz pour in biodegradable cups. All proceeds will be donated to The Mountaineers. The beer garden will be open 12:00 to 6:00 P.M. On top of the beer garden tables we will have laminated versions of National Geographic’s new Trail Illustrated topographical map series on Washington for beer garden patrons to enjoy.
