American Brewing Releases Winter Classic

November 22nd, 2011 · No Comments · Beer Releases

American Brewing, located in Edmonds, is releasing their new Winter Classic this week. They’ll be kicking things off on Wednesday, November 23, by pouring two casks of this at the brewery. Winter Classic is a dark strong ale with an assertive hop presence, which shouldn’t surprise fans of brewmaster and hop-maestro Skip Madsen. Sounds like a great way to prepare for Thanksgiving.

More from American Brewing:

This Wednesday, we will be releasing our newest beer, the Winter Classic .

The Cask will be tapped at 5:00 pm.  But don’t worry, Skip has prepared 2 casks of this delicious dark winter ale, that should last the night (?).  He and Dan also have a fun little surprise that they will bring out Wednesday night to share.  All we can tell you is that it’s a creative concoction they came up with and conditioned it in an unusual vessel…intrigued?  You should be!

We’ll have Big Mike’s Hot Dogs as well (yes, chili too)!  So don’t worry about dinner!

It’s bound to be a really fun night at the brewery and we hope you will stop by and help us to welcome the Holiday Season!

Winter Classic
A Strong Ale that is dark chocolate brown to almost black in color.  Eight specialty malts contribute to its full bodied sweetness.  Piney flavors and aroma from the hops balance out the sweetness and chocolate malt flavors.  A longer aging process contributes to the deep richness of this ale.
8.2% ABV    80 IBU
