Bourbon barrel-aged beers are one of my favorite styles when done well. Full Sail Brewing makes two of my favorites: Black Gold Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, as well as their Top Sail Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter, which they released last month.

Full Sail recently produced this video taking you behind-the-scenes of the process of making these beers. It makes me thirsty.

You should still be able to find some of the Imperial Porter on shelves around Seattle. You’ll have to wait until next year to try the Imperial Stout; it will be worth the wait.
