Press release:

Seattle, WA – Maritime Pacific is celebrating the return of their Spring Seasonal, Maybock, in the Jolly Roger Taproom on Thursday, April 12, 2012, starting at 5 pm.Maybock will be available in draught on April 13th at select pubs, taverns, and alehouses throughout Seattle and Tacoma.
Maybock is a traditional Helles Bock or Maibock style lager typically brewed to mark the beginning of spring. Brewed using the finest malts from Germany and the Pacific Northwest it has a noticeably clean, toasted malt flavor and is brilliantly copper. Unlike typical European brewed Helles Bocks, Maybock is aggressively hopped giving it a more pronounced hop aroma and a pleasing bitterness that lingers just long enough. At 6.5%ABV and a modest 32 IBUs, Maybock is a perfect springtime lager best enjoyed sitting in the sun watching the cherry trees blossom.
A crowd favorite, Maybock took a year long hiatus to make way for the 2011 Seattle Beer Week beer, Decompression.  It has been developing its unique flavors and aromas for 4 weeks in the conditioning tank, as is tradition in brewing a lager.  The beer release will take place on April 12, 2012, in the Jolly Roger Taproom starting at 5 pm.  There will be special pricing on pints of Maybock so come and celebrate of the beginning of spring.
