Residents of Seattle’s Roosevelt neighborhood will soon have another option for finding good beer. Seth Howard, owner of Collins Pub, Hudson Public House and The Last Drop, is opening Mutiny Hall, his fourth craft beer-focused business. The restaurant will be located at 1205 NE 65th, right next to Pies & Pints, and Howard is targeting an opening date of July 16, as long as the liquor license comes through by then.
According to Howard, Mutiny Hall will follow the same successful blueprint as Collins Pub. The bar will feature 20 taps of craft beer, with a focus on regional offerings and West Coast breweries. If you like the selection at Collins Pub or Hudson Public House, you will not be disappointed. They will be open for lunch and dinner and feature a menu of quality American pub fare. The family-friendly space will be quite large, with room for around 100 to 120 people, and they have also applied for a permit for sidewalk seating.
Personally, Collins Pub is one of my favorite bars in Seattle. Seth is a true beer geek who understand the craft beer business and is a fellow hophead. Locals in the area of Mutiny Hall are lucky to have this opening up. Now, what do I have to do to get Howard to open a place in Beacon Hill…?

Just had shrimp and grits off of the new menu at Collins Pub today. It was comfort food–I ate it all and now want to take a nap. The U District is a little off of my beaten path but I will definitely make it up to Mutiny Hall.

Well, is it open yet (7/17/12)? Specials, happy hour? We want to know! Collins Pub website hasn’t been updated in quite a while.
