The McMenamins chain of breweries and hotels has completed a purchase of the 5.4 acre Anderson School Campus in Bothell that they will renovate into a 70 room hotel, spa, pub, restaurant and cinema, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. The sale is part of Bothell’s downtown revitalization plan, which includes 25 total acres of property the city is selling to encourage development in the downtown area.
While the McMenamins plan was submitted and approved back in 2010 with the hopes that the facility would open in the summer of 2013, the delay in finalizing the deal will push the expected opening date back to August of 2014.
I personally love what I have seen of the McMenamins hotels that I have visited, and this is a great addition for Bothell. I’ll very much look forward to visiting.
Please check out the story at Puget Sound Business Journal for more details.

YAY! I didn’t realize there was a delay and they hadn’t started the remodel yet. Two years is a long time to wait for a local McMenamin hotel, but hopefully it will be worth it.
