I love all styles, colors, and variations of beer, but when it comes right down to it I love a beer that I can have a few of and not feel the effects too much. It can sometimes be hard to come by a good selection of sessionable beers, but this weekend at Naked City Brewery & Taphouse you won’t have that problem. Session Fest kicks off with a Brewers Night this evening at 7pm featuring a list of sessionable beers, prizes and the opportunity to speak with some of the brewers behind the beers. The festival then continues at Naked City throughout the weekend, so stop on by any time they are open.
Brought to you by Paul Orchard at Northwest Beer Guide, Session Fest is a great way to explore some of the lower alcohol beers available in the Seattle market. The event will feature over 35 beers from almost 25 breweries, with the large majority of them coming in at 5% alcohol by volume or less. Your definition of a true “session beer” may differ, but there is no denying that 5% ABV is on the low side for the craft beers available today. Following is a partial list of what will be available:

Big Time Brewery & Alehouse (S*M*A*S*H* American-style Single Malt & Single Hop Ale)
