After much preparation, build-up and excitement, Bellevue’s first locally-owned brewery is finally open. From the first sips of beer that I had at Bellevue Brewing Company on Friday, it was worth the wait.
John Robertson, Scott Hansen, Tony Powell and the rest of the team at BBC opened up the doors for the first time to the public on Thursday, December 13. They started out with just their Oatmeal Stout on tap Thursday, and then Friday they added their IPA to the lineup. They will release their ESB this Wednesday, and then their Scotch Ale will round out the regular lineup on Sunday, December 23.
You can check out this post for more information on BBC, their journey to open, and what their plans are.
We made it by the brewery on Friday night, and I was very impressed with both the IPA and the Oatmeal Stout. If these two beers are an indication of the quality that we can expect from BBC in the future, then I’ll be excited to try anything they produce. We didn’t get to try any food, but the menu looked very solid as well.
If you find yourself in Bellevue any time soon, I’d highly suggest finding the time to stop by BBC and check them out.
