For The 12 Randalls of Xmas taking place this Wednesday night, the Pine Box will be showcasing some Christmas themed ingredients. While Randalls are typically packed full of hops, this event will use candy canes, cherries, chocolate, and more to get you in the holiday spirit. If the concept of a Randall is new to you, these contraptions can be packed full of ingredients and then beer can be drawn through them, imparting those flavors into the beer.

Geoff – you’ll have to let me know what you
think of the BCK thru Candy Canes. I am unfortunately home sick in bed or I would certainly be there. Several of the beer and randall ingredient pairings sound awesome!

Hey Drew – I sadly didn’t make it over there either…that would have been first on my list to try though.

I sampled the BCK thru the candy canes. Weirdly amusing, but I think it would have been more appropriately Randalled thru something else instead, like chocolate-flavored marshmallows. Also, instead of Rodenbach GC, it was New Belgium’s La Folie (IIRC). All in all, it was a fun bit of sampling, also refreshing after tasting the entire range of Vertical Epics at Brouwer’s earlier that very same evening.
