Beer Junction Becomes “Barrel Junction” January 19 to 26

January 10th, 2013 · No Comments · Events

Barrel-aged beers are typically often sought out beers that many of us have fallen head-over-heels in love with. Taking an already interesting beer and aging it in a barrel, be it whiskey, rum, wine, or new, can add layers of depth that cannot beĀ achieved straight from the brewing process.

West Seattle’s Beer Junction plans to celebrate barrel-aged beers by turning most of their 20 taps over to various examples of them from Saturday, January 19 through Saturday, January 26. They will be pouring barrel-aged stouts, barleywines, sours, ciders, IPAs and more.

A few highlights include “Lost Abbey’s Deliverance, De Dochter Embrasse Ardbeg Whiskey Aged, Firestone Parabola, Fremont’s Oak Aged Dark Star Imperial Oatmeal Stout (infused with hazelnuts and smoked peppercorns), Duo Brewing Rye Whiskey Aged Scotch Ale, plus lots more.” They will announce the full list next week.
