Cheers to these guys for a great first year at The Pine Box!

Two of my favorite bars are breaking out some serious heavy hitting beers in the next couple of days. Hey, why not?

First up is “Ellen’s Head on the Floor” party at The Noble Fir on Wednesday, which will feature a list of 15 beers that range in ABV from 8.5% to 12.5%. Do yourself a favor and take the bus for this one. Here is the list:

Then, join the guys at The Pine Box on Thursday night to celebrate their 1st anniversary. It’s been quite the year for this kick-ass bar in Capitol Hill. They’ll be bringing out some special beers, including their Anniversary Imperial Stout from Fremont.

Hard to believe it has been a whole year. Tonight we’ll be releasing our first ever anniversary beer brewed by Fremont Brewing and we’ll party into the wee hours of the night. We’ll have bottle sales of this monstrous 12%+ ABV Imperial stout and special tappings throughout the evening. We’ll also use this opportunity to thin out the cooler a bit and tap some other goodies.
