New Belgium Brewing returns to town this Friday for another installment of their Clips Beer & Film Tour (formerly known as “Clips of Faith”). They will have up to 16 different New Belgium gems on tap, including special releases like La Folie, Cascara Quad, and Pluot Ale. More info from New Belgium:
Ft. Collins, CO – July 23, 2013 – New Belgium Brewing, maker of Fat Tire Amber Ale and a wide variety of award-winning beers, is once again bringing its beer-toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefiting show to your backyard. The nationwide tour is coming to Seattle on Friday, July 26 at Gas Works Park. Last year in Seattle, approximately 1,200 people came to the show and raised nearly $6,500 for Nature Consortium, which is the benefiting nonprofit organization again this year.
Clips offers a venue where guests can try New Belgium’s most esoteric offerings while watching short films created by New Belgium fans. Up to 16 beer varieties will be on tap, including selections from the Lips of Faith series and some brewery classics. The best part is that 100 percent of beer sale proceeds on Friday night will go to Nature Consortium (http://www.naturec.org).
New Belgium selects approximately 20 short films for the tour each season. All chosen entries for the 2013 tour receive a custom gift from New Belgium and screenings in 21 cities. Local resident Fitz Cahall’s film, “The Joy of Air” reminds us that what goes up must come down. This film explores the concept of catching air across a variety of sports. Cahall also had a film selected for the 2011 tour.
