For the third year in a row, Kendall & Kim from over at Washington Beer Blog have put together an impressive lineup of restaurants and breweries for their Craft Beer + Food event taking place on Wednesday, September 25 at 6pm at the Tyee Yacht Club on Lake Union. Ten local breweries will have their beer featured in pairings with ten local restaurants with the goal of showcasing just how much beer deserves a place at the table with some of our region’s best food. Participants will include Luc, Ballard Annex, TanakaSan, Triplehorn Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Airways Brewing and plenty more.

Craft Beer + Food, an Event Celebrating Local Beer and Food

 

Tickets go on sale Tuesday for Seattle’s third annual food and beer pairing event

 

Seattle, WA – August 26, 2013 – The Washington Beer Blog, producers of Craft Beer + Food, announced today that tickets will go on sale Tuesday, August 27 for the third annual food and beer pairing event. Craft Beer + Food takes place on Wednesday, September 25 at the Tyee Yacht Club on Lake Union in Seattle.  This not-for-profit event benefits Seattle Tilth and the Just Garden Project.

At the event, guests have an opportunity to sample ten different food and craft beer pairings provided by local restaurants and breweries. Ten of the Seattle area’s best restaurants team up with ten of the Seattle area’s best breweries to create unique and delicious pairings. Chefs work side-by-side with brewers to devise outstanding combinations that highlight how beer can be part of an elevated dining experience.

“The goal of Craft Beer + Food is to demonstrate how beer can part of an upscale dining experience,” says Kendall Jones, Co-Founder of the Washington Beer Blog. “The art of food and beer pairing continues to gain popularity, and many of the Seattle area’s best restaurants now offer impressive beer lists. With Craft Beer + Food we bring several great culinary minds and brewing minds together at one time and in one place, allowing our guests to experience how well craft beer pairs with elevated food.”

New at this year’s Craft Beer + Food are restaurant participants Luc, Ballard Annex, Seastar Raw Bar, The Sixgill and TanakaSan. Returning are Brave Horse Tavern, Ravish, Station Pizzeria, Trellis and Triple Door. Additionally, Bluebird Ice Creamery and Brewery will provide dessert, which will involve the pairing of its own ice cream and beer.

Brewery participants include Airways Brewing, Black Raven Brewing, Elysian Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Pike Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Schooner Exact Brewing, Triplehorn Brewing, and Two Beers Brewing.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, tickets can be purchased online for $35 by visiting the official event website:www.craftbeerplusfood.com. Proceeds from the event benefit the Just Garden Project and Seattle Tilth.
