Pike Brewing Celebrates the Season at Long Beach Peninsula’s 12th Annual Wild Mushroom Celebration

We are lucky enough here in the NW to have many fantastic natural resources that serve the food and  drink industry, be it hops, grapes, oysters, fruit and more. This time of year, wild mushrooms are widely available; even my local Red Apple Market up here in Beacon Hill has a huge supply on sale for a ridiculous $6.99/lb.

Charles & Rose Ann Finkel of Pike Brewing have always been big advocates of beer and food pairing, and for the fourth year in a row Pike will be participating in the 12th Annual Wild Mushroom Celebration on the Long Beach Peninsula. Join Rose Ann & Charles at the Wild Mushroom & Beer Dinner at the Shelburne Inn on Friday, October 25, where Pike beers will be paired with multiple courses featuring locally harvested wild mushrooms.

It is truly Fall in Seattle and festivals are in full swing. It’s a great time to come indoors for beer events and dinners. It’s wild mushroom season and on Friday, October 25, for the fourth year in a row, Pike is pleased to be participating in the Wild Mushroom and Beer Dinner at the Shelburne Inn in Seaview, WA on the Long Beach Peninsula. Better yet, make a weekend of it and join us for a Beer Lover’s Dinner on Saturday, October 26 at Kalaloch Lodge. The Washington Coast is spectacular at this time of the year, a romantic complement to the meals prepared by these talented chefs.

WILD MUSHROOM AND BEER DINNER
THE SHELBURNE INN | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25    7:00 PM

As part of Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula’s 12th Annual Wild Mushroom Celebration, please join us to enjoy a menu prepared by the Chef Team of Robert Erickson and Darice Grass who will artfully pair a variety of Pike’s beers with multiple courses, featuring of course, the bounty of fresh, locally harvested wild mushrooms. Charles and Rose Ann Finkel of Pike Brewing Company will share their knowledge and some lively ale tales The menu will be posted once it is determined which mushrooms are available to pick.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26 | 6:00 PM

Celebrate with us at a fabulous Beer Lover’s Dinner at Kalaloch Lodge and enjoy the beauty of the Olympic National Park. The lodge is open so make plans to join us  on October 26, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Kalaloch Lodge’s Creekside Restaurant for a very special Beer Lovers Dinner, featuring delectable entrees created by Executive Chef Ashley Miller, paired with the sensational beers from The Pike Brewing Company.
Menu $65 a person or $120 a couple

BEER LOVER’S WEEKEND

The lodge is offering an irresistible Beer Lover’s Weekendpackage that includes overnight accommodations on October 25 and 26, 2013, and two (2) tickets to the Beerlovers Dinner in the Creekside Restaurant on October 26, 2013.
