While most people are getting ready for some pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving this week, Brouwer’s Cafe is celebrating the holiday in a very fitting way. The pumpkin beer savants from Elysian Brewing will be on hand this Wednesday when Brouwer’s will be tapping a total of 16 pumpkin beers. 9 of the offerings will be from Elysian, while the other 7 are from the likes of Jolly Pumpkin, Midnight Sun and South Hampton. Pumpkin beers will soon start disappearing from taps and shelves as we progress into the new year, so get them while you still can.
From Brouwer’s:
Wednesday, November 27th starting at 6pm Elysian Pumpkin Roadshow. We will be tapping a total of 16 pumpkin beers, with about 1/2 of them coming from Elysian. We feel that pumpkin beers come out so early that when the weather turns and we look forward to a pumpkin beer they are all gone, so we saved a bunch of pumpkin beers throughout the season and think the day before Thanksgiving is a perfect time to tap them. Elysian folks will be on hand to drink beer with.

I put together a great sampling of pumpkin beers for Thanksgiving dinner this year. The Dogfish Head was in the mix. Awesome selection you have here. Mine was a hit before dinner.
