Tickets went on sale today to the general public for one of the most unique beer events you’ll find anywhere. Hops & Props will feature more than 50 breweries and cideries pouring samples from their booths set up throughout the Museum of Flight, the largest private, non-profit air and space museum in the world. The event won’t take place until February 22, 2014, but tickets always sell out well in advance. VIP ticket packages are already sold out. If you plan to attend, don’t wait; get your tickets now. Tickets are steep at $80 for the general public, but that includes unlimited tastes, an ample spread of food provided by McCormick & Schmick’s, live music and of course entrance to the museum. All proceeds of this event also go toward supporting The Museum of Flight.
It has been a few years since I attended the event, but it is a great time. It is not necessarily a “beer geek’s” festival, but there are more than enough great beers pouring, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. Ever want to get a picture of yourself in the cockpit of a fighter jet while drinking beer? You can do that here.
If you are interested in what breweries will be on hand, you can see last year’s list here. This year’s list has not been announced.
Again, if you want tickets….get them now.
