Pacific Northwest Cider Awards Features 3-Day Festival in Seattle June 6-8

ciderA new event that aims to highlight some of the great ciders being made in the Pacific Northwest is coming up in about a week and a half. The Pacific Northwest Cider Awards will feature a 3-day festival in Seattle, kicking off on Friday, June 6 and lasting through Sunday, June 8. 25+ ciders will be on tap for the event (full list below), which will be held at The Woods tasting room at Seattle Cider Company/Two Beers Brewing in SODO. Tickets are available online now for $30 and include 8 tasting tokens & a 13oz tulip glass commemorating the event. There will also be food trucks, music and more.

There will also be a private judging of 103 ciders from 27 different cideries located in WA, OR, MT and BC.

The Woods – the tasting room for Seattle Cider Company, located at 4700 Ohio S in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood – will be open for the PNWCA Cider Festival on Friday from 3-10pm, Saturday from 1-10pm and Sunday from 1-6pm for the event. Food will be available for purchase from popular gluten-free food truck Contigo on Friday and Saturday, as well as Where Ya at Matt on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door ($35), but space for the event is limited and is expected to sell out, so those interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance ($30). Additional tokens will be available for purchase at the event. As part of the festival, each ticket purchased will be accompanied by a voting slip. The cider with the most votes at the end of the festival will be awarded the People Choice Award, to be announced Monday, June 9. Please note this is a 21+ event.
