If you are a fan of imperial IPAs, it’s a good time to be in Seattle. Today (Feb 4) marks the kickoff of the 3rd Annual Washington Hop Mob Roadshow at Brouwer’s Cafe, as well as the Melvin Brewing National 2×4 Day taking place at several bars around town. Keep reading for more info on both.

Melvin Brewing National 2×4 Day – Melvin Brewing, located in Jackson, WY, took home Small Brewpub of the Year honors at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival. The brewery says their 2×4 Double IPA is “the best damn DIPA in the world”, and that might not be a stretch. It is the only IPA to ever win top honors at the Great American Beer Festival, The World Beer Cup and the Alpha King Challenge. Several bars around town will be a part of the National 2×4 Day today (on Feb 4), pouring 2×4 Double IPA and multiple other beers from Melvin. Participating bars in Seattle include Brouwer’s Cafe, Toronado, Pine Box and Beveridge Place Pub. Check the links for more info about events at each individual location.
