Fremont Barrel-Aged Beer Night at Flatstick Pub Tonight

October 20th, 2016 · No Comments · Washington Breweries

The new Flatstick Pub in Pioneer Square has been hosting some great beer events since opening up. With an enormous footprint, plenty of taps and a well-staffed bar, it can accommodate some big crowds.

Tonight, starting at 5pm, they’ll be pouring some very special barrel-aged beers from Fremont Brewing, along with some other limited releases (more fresh hops!). There will also be a raffle to win bottles of Fremont’s Ancient One B-Bomb, a premium version of their “standard” Bourbon Barrel Aged Abominable. See the description of this beer down below.

Both locations of Flatstick Pub will host these events tonight. The raffle will take place at 8pm, and four bottles will be raffled off at each location. You will receive one raffle ticket for each Fremont beer purchased. Tap lists for each location are below. They will also be giving away a pair of tickets to the Flatstick Halloween Cruise at each location.

On tap in Pioneer Square:

ANCIENT ONE B-BOMB

This year’s Ancient One B-bomb is a blend of 18 and 30-month B-bomb aged in 12 and 35-year old bourbon barrels. When we happened upon these rare, 35-year old bourbon barrels, we knew they would add an extra layer of intensity and complexity to B-bomb’s bourbon, oak, cacao, leather, and dark coffee notes. Each barrel contributes a different note and combining each barrel to create a coherent tone is a distinct art and true pleasure. Please do enjoy this unique barrel-aged ale today but know that Ancient B-bomb will age gracefully for at least another 5 years. Don’t Be Afraid To Be Abominable.

Down & Dirty: 2-Row Pale, Chocolate, Roast, Carafa, Munich, and Dark Crystal malts with Columbus, Willamette, and Golding hops.
ABV: 14%          IBU: 65
Availability: Extremely limited
